Making Life Easier

Things that Make My Life Easier, in no particular order.

HourCar
Because sometimes walking or biking just won't cut it

Washer/Dryer
Sure I have to use ones that are coin-op and in the basement of my building
Still, it beats lugging the laundry to the laundromat
OR WORSE, washing our clothes by hand.

My smartphone.
'Nuff said

I don't know what I'd do without the Internet.
I use it for lesson planning, running tips, shopping, information, communication, etc.

Handy 3-step stool allows me to reach even the highest shelves in my kitchen.

What are the top things/people/services that help make your life easier?

  1. I've never seen the "hour car" before, but it looks like it's perfect for those that only need it for a bit!

  3. I've never seen hour car either. We had zip car in college and I think it's something similar. It's such a neat idea.

    1. Yes, very similar to the zip car. I think HourCar is only in the Twin Cities.

  6. I so need a handy 3-step stool, me being barely 5 feet tall. :) I missed biking. It was fun reading your list.

    1. Yes, the 3-step stool is essential. Or lower ceiling/cabinets, which I would hate.

  7. I also have our version of the Hour Car, Autoshare. Completely a life saver sometimes and more eco friendly (and cheaper) than owning.
First recipe for you, not really a training thing, more of a less guilty indulgence when you need a boost, easy apple and pear crisp.

  8. The laundry mat is such a not fun place, hurray for the washer and dryer! I love how the internet and smart phones have made their way on to everyone's lists. What did we do just a few years back without these wonderful things? haha :) Great list!

    1. I know. It's amazing to think back even to when I was in high school and wonder how we did it. :)

  9. Hour car sounds like a great concept. I can see how a service like that can make life easier especially for people living in big cities.

    1. Yeah, I'm not sure how well it would work living in a small town.
